The Pitch Event With Purpose
Porpoise Tank is a nonprofit version of the hugely successful “Shark Tank” TV show.
FIVE SHARKS
Five “Sharks” are chosen for this LIVE YouTube event because of their status in their community or industry donate $5,000 to the Porpoise Tank.
FOUR NONPROFITS
Four local nonprofit, 501(c)(3)’s, are chosen through an application and screening process and “pitch” a project which would need funding of no more than $10,000 which they would like to implement to help the population they serve.
100% of the funds in the “Tank” are distributed amongst the nonprofits pitching during this live event. The distribution is left to the discretion of the “Sharks”.
ANYONE CAN BE THEIR OWN SHARK FOR GOOD!
Also, thanks to BRAINSPIRE , a Colorado-based custom software development firm, attendees of the live event and watchers on YouTube can be their own “Sharks”! Via a web-based app, they are able to donate and distribute any portion of the donation amount they would like via the app to any or all of the nonprofits pitching at the event.
